Official by-election results released

Results from the Dec. 12 municipal by-election are now official.

Dal Virdi has been elected as division 3 Councillor to serve the remainder of the current four-year term on Leduc County Council. Virdi received 53.7 per cent of the divisions' votes with 268 of 499 votes.

Official results indicate a 22.5 per cent voter turn out, with 499 of the eligible 2,217 voters in division 3.

On Jan. 10, 2023 Virdi will take his oath of office during the regular Leduc County Council meeting.
