The respective Councils of Leduc County and Town of Devon are of the opinion that it is in their best interests to cooperatively develop an Inter-municipal Development Plan as described in the Municipal Government Act. The Inter-Municipal Development Plan will provide the foundation for the Town of Devon and Leduc County to work in partnership for a progressive, planned future land use area along their shared boundaries.

When complete, the IDP will outline objectives such as:

- Desired future land use and growth patterns that consider the future growth of
the Town of Devon and its relationship with adjacent lands in Leduc County

- A joint approach to industrial development in the area

- Overall future servicing and transportation infrastructure needs

- The opportunity for a future water development partnership between the Town
and the County

- Implementation activities to ensure the successful development of the area in the long term

The Open House will provide an opportunity for citizens to discuss the DRAFT land use concept and other matters being addressed by the Plan with the project staff.
